LinkedIn's own pages show two routes: Share on LinkedIn, a self-serve product for posting as a signed-in member, and the Community Management API for company Pages (posting, analytics, comments), which needs an application and vetting. LinkedIn's API terms say it currently charges no fee. The pages do not say LinkedIn has stopped accepting API applications.

Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Self-serve, no special approval: Sign in with LinkedIn and Share on LinkedIn, added from the Products tab of a developer app (page last updated 06/26/2025). By application: the Community Management API, Advertising API, Events Management API, Lead Sync API, Conversions API and Matched Audiences API, which the 10/19/2026 page calls "open to all approved developers" through the standard process. For the Community Management API the pages say it is "only available to registered legal organizations for commercial use cases only", ask for a verified business email, the organization's legal name, address, website and privacy policy, and a verification by a super admin of the organization's LinkedIn Page; personal email addresses fail vetting. Every app starts on the Development tier; the Standard tier needs a second application with a screen recording and test credentials. Closed or not accepting: Compliance ("Access is closed and may not be requested"), the member-post reading permission r_member_social, and the Company Intelligence API. Times stated: up to 30 business days for an Advertising API Standard-tier upgrade, and 21 days to finish a vetting survey once it is triggered. No time is stated for Community Management approval. Also read: getting-access (last updated 06/26/2025), community-management-app-review (02/11/2026), community-management-overview (05/15/2026) and the partner support guide (05/18/2026), all on learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin. Native scheduling and daily post limits: not stated on the pages read. The rate-limit page says standard rate limits are not published in the documentation. Posts API page last updated 05/13/2026; Share on LinkedIn page last updated 02/05/2025. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Community Management API only, not Share on LinkedIn: Page follower statistics, Page statistics (views and clicks), share statistics, social metadata (reactions and comments) and video analytics for organizations; member post statistics and profile analytics need the r_member_postAnalytics and r_member_profileAnalytics permissions. History limits: not stated on the pages read. Overview page last updated 05/15/2026. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Comments: the Community Management Comments API reads and creates comments and reactions for organizations (permissions r_organization_social_feed and w_organization_social_feed), and an organization social-actions notification API sends webhook events for likes, comments and shares on public posts; on the Development tier these push notifications are disabled. Share on LinkedIn can write comments as a member but cannot read them, because r_member_social is a closed permission. Direct messages: no messaging endpoint for Pages or members was found on the pages read. Comments API page last updated 04/30/2026; notifications page 06/17/2026; increasing-access page 10/19/2026. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | No paid tier is listed (the pages read show no price for the Pages API, Instagram Platform or Threads API). Page updated Sep 16, 2025. A page that lists no price does not say none exists. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | No price is stated, so no pricing basis. Limits are rate-limit formulas and access levels (Standard and Advanced Access), not plans. Page shows no date. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Steps the pages name: log in with a Facebook account, agree to the Platform Terms and Developer Policies, confirm a code sent to your phone and email, pick an occupation; create an app in the App Dashboard and choose use cases. For an app used only for a business you own or manage, the Instagram App Review page lists App Review as "Not required" and the Messenger overview says it is not required for your own Page. Advanced Access, for accounts you do not own or manage, needs App Review and Business Verification; Meta's FAQ says the process "may take up to several weeks". Apps serving other businesses must become a Tech Provider. The Instagram create-app page also says to connect a business that completed Business Verification "before you can publish your app". Instagram accounts must be professional accounts. Apps with no activity for 90 days have tokens invalidated, and apps with Advanced Access repeat an annual Data Use Checkup. | Outstand | One API for several networks: a REST API and a remote MCP server, with a dashboard for accounts, API keys and billing. Terms last updated September 24, 2026. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | 12 networks: X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit; all nine of Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky are named. Eight run on Outstand's own apps ("Managed Keys"); X, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit need your own API credentials. Facts page: "Last updated: October 2026". Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | No free tier is listed: the pricing page says Outstand "is not free and has no permanently free tier." Creating an account is free and needs no card, but the docs say only an active subscription gets API access (a trialing status returns a 402 error). Pricing page dated 2026-10-31. The /mcp page says "Free tier included - no credit card needed", which conflicts with it. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Pay as you go: $19 per month, including 3,000 posts, then $0.007 per post from 3,001 to 10,000 and $0.005 per post above 10,000 (USD, billed monthly, no annual contract). Business: $129 per month per organization, including 50,000 posts, then $0.005 per post. Direct-message conversations: 500 included per billing period on Pay as you go, then $0.025 each. X, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit platform API fees are paid to those platforms. Pricing page dated 2026-10-31. Opt-in video processing is $0.05 per 10-second block. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Base fee plus per post. One post delivered to one connected account is one billed post (a post to three accounts is three; drafts are not billed; failed deliveries count). Connected accounts and team members are unlimited at no charge; DM conversations are billed per conversation. Pricing page dated 2026-10-31. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Outstand states that on its eight Managed Keys networks (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok) you can "skip the approval process entirely". Its docs describe the steps as: sign up, buy a plan, get an API key, connect accounts by OAuth. For X, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit you register your own app and meet that platform's review: the docs say Google Business Profile "requires pre-approval from Google", Reddit access sits behind its Developer Terms and an approval process, Vimeo reviews each request by hand, and a new X app is not enrolled for posting by default. If you use your own Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn app instead of Managed Keys, the docs list the review you then need. On Managed Keys, TikTok uploads go to the creator's inbox as drafts by default, and Instagram direct-message scopes must be requested explicitly. The no-approval wording is Outstand's own claim; the network-side steps are as its docs list them. Docs pages show no dates. Provider claim · Nov 5, 2026 | POST /v1/posts with an accounts array and content or containers (threads, carousels); scheduledAt for scheduling; drafts, first-comment scheduling, reposts and imports of past posts. Media goes up by presigned upload, with optional video processing. Limits stated: YouTube on Managed Keys shares 100 upload attempts per Pacific quota day across customers; Threads allows 250 posts and 1,000 replies per 24 hours; included posts do not roll over. Docs pages show no dates. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Included on both plans: GET /v1/posts/{id}/analytics (published posts: likes, comments, shares, views, impressions, reach, engagement rate and platform-specific fields) and GET /v1/social-accounts/{id}/metrics with since and until (default last 30 days; some networks give snapshot or lifetime figures only). The facts page says analytics cover posts published through Outstand; an import job can pull past posts from several networks. Instagram data can lag up to 48 hours. History retention: not stated. Facts page: "Last updated: October 2026". Docs pages show no dates. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Comments: read and reply through /v1/posts/{id}/replies on posts published through Outstand only; thread replies on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Threads; comment.received webhooks for Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads and X. TikTok, Pinterest and Google Business expose no comments API and YouTube comments are not yet supported. Direct messages: a Conversations API (list, start, get, send, mark read, reactions, webhooks) for Instagram Business or Creator accounts and Facebook Pages, with X direct messages added on Nov 2, 2026. A conversation starts from a private reply to a comment (within 7 days) or when the contact writes first; free-form replies are allowed within 24 hours. Included on both plans: 500 (Pay as you go) or 10,000 (Business) conversations per billing period, then a per-conversation fee. Docs pages show no dates; the X additions are from changelog entries dated Nov 2 and Nov 4, 2026. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | REST API (Bearer API key, base api.outstand.so, OpenAPI specs), a remote MCP server (28 tools), a Claude Code plugin and React UI components; no server-side language SDKs are named. Webhooks (post.published, post.error, account.token_expired, comment.received, message events and others) with optional HMAC-SHA256 signing. Zapier, Make and n8n are documented through MCP client apps; no native Zapier or Make app was found. Rate limits: the docs say limits are dynamic with no single published number (read the X-RateLimit headers); the Terms say 20 to 500 requests per minute per account, dynamically adjusted, and 50,000 requests per day. Terms last updated September 24, 2026; docs pages show no dates. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Email at support@outstand.so and contact@outstand.so. The Business plan gets "Priority handling on the existing support channels" with no guaranteed response time and no uptime SLA, plus one 30-minute integration-planning call per organization. A Priority Support page named in the changelog was not found (404 at /support) and the in-app page needs a sign-in, so those tiers were not read. No status page was found. Pricing page dated 2026-10-31. The changelog entry about Priority Support is dated Jul 19, 2026. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 |

Paid plans have unlimited uploads and no per-post, per-call or per-channel fee; Free is capped at 10 uploads a month. Seats, video-editing minutes and AI analyses are also tiered. Pricing page: "Last updated: October 2026". Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Upload-Post states "You never create an app on TikTok, Meta or LinkedIn" and its docs say it runs its own approved Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn apps, with no App Review for Instagram. Its docs list the steps: sign up, create a profile, click Connect for a network and approve in the network's own login window, then create an API key. Conditions in the docs: Instagram must be a Business or Creator account, Facebook posting is to Pages only, LinkedIn works for a member profile or a company page the member administers, and TikTok posting needs a paid plan. The docs also say two Meta permissions are still pending review for Upload-Post (Facebook Page-info edits and Threads read-replies). Some other networks, such as Lemmy, connect with typed-in credentials. The no-review wording is Upload-Post's own claim. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Per API call or resource from prepaid credits: writes per request, reads per resource returned, with spending limits and optional auto-recharge. The same resource requested again within a 24-hour UTC day is not charged again. The docs say "Pay-per-usage plans are capped at 3 million Post reads per monthly billing cycle." The developer.x.com home says there are "no monthly caps", which conflicts with the cap above. Verified · Nov 5, 2026 | Replies and mentions: read your mentions (GET /2/users/:id/mentions, 300 per 15 minutes per user), search recent posts (last 7 days) and hide replies; reply with POST /2/tweets only when the original post's author has mentioned or quoted your account (self-serve). Real-time events such as post.reply.create, post.mention.create and dm.received come through the X Activity API by webhook or stream and are billed per event. Direct messages: send (POST /2/dm_conversations/with/:participant_id/messages, $0.015 per request, 15 per 15 minutes and 1,440 per 24 hours per user) and read (GET /2/dm_events, $0.010 per event, events up to 30 days old). Questions
How were these options chosen?
The starting list had 29 options in three route types: nine networks' own APIs (Meta, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Reddit, LinkedIn), seven services that put several networks behind one API (Ayrshare, Late, which now calls itself Zernio, Outstand, Bundle Social, Upload-Post, Post for Me, Postiz) and thirteen management apps (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Metricool, Publer, SocialBee, Loomly, Agorapulse, Planable, Sendible, Vista Social, Zoho Social, Sprout Social). Buffer, Metricool and Publer are both an app and an API and were counted once. All 29 were read on their own pages on 2026-11-05. The inclusion rule was the same for every one: a US small business or solo developer can sign up today without a sales call; it lets them post to, read analytics from, or read and answer comments or messages on at least one network; its price or access terms are on its own pages; it is still available; and its pages do not say it works by scraping, browser automation or stored network passwords instead of the networks' official APIs, or sell its API or inbox access only through a quote form (an app with published prices was kept even where its API is quote-only or an unpriced add-on, as with Agorapulse and Vista Social, because the app itself met the rule). Reddit is not listed under that rule: its own pages say commercial use needs a written agreement requested through a contact form, and its registration page says public API access ends in March 2027. The other 28 met it, which is more than the cap of twelve, so one extra rule set the rest aside, applied the same way to every one: at least one tier, plan or access level that the option's own pages show as free, or at no more than $30 per month on monthly billing (for one account, profile, channel, brand or user, whichever unit the page prices, with add-ons counted), must also be documented on its own pages as covering all three jobs on at least one network: posting or scheduling, analytics (an insights or reports screen or endpoint; counts shown on a post do not count), and reading and replying to comments or direct messages. A tier with no price shown is not counted as over the limit. Set aside because no tier is documented as covering all three jobs: Pinterest (no comment or message endpoints), Bluesky and Mastodon (no analytics endpoint), Post for Me and Postiz (no reading or replying to comments or messages documented in the API), and Publer (its pages do not say which plan includes reading and replying to comments). Set aside because the first tier that covers all three costs more than $30 per month: Ayrshare, Bundle Social, Hootsuite, Later, Loomly, Agorapulse, Planable, Sendible, Vista Social, Zoho Social and Sprout Social. Each set-aside option was researched in full, so any can be swapped in. The rule leaves every route type with at least three options. It says nothing about the quality of any option left out. The page lists the eleven in alphabetical order and does not rank them.
Does LinkedIn still accept API applications?
LinkedIn's own pages, read on 2026-11-05, do not say that it has stopped accepting API applications. The getting-access page (last updated 06/26/2025) says Sign in with LinkedIn and Share on LinkedIn, which posts as a signed-in member, are open to all developers without special approval, and that Compliance access is closed. The marketing page (last updated 10/19/2026) says the Advertising API, Community Management API, Events Management API, Lead Sync API, Conversions API and Matched Audiences API are "open to all approved developers", that Audience Insights and Media Planning need extra criteria, and that the Company Intelligence API is "not currently accepting new applications". The Community Management API page (02/11/2026) says it is only available to registered legal organizations for commercial use, with business-email and Page verification, and the member-post reading permission r_member_social is described as closed. LinkedIn is therefore listed as an active option. The Developer Portal, where applications and their status live, needs a LinkedIn sign-in and was not read.
What do the three route types mean?
A network's own API is access straight from the network: Meta (Facebook Pages, Instagram and Threads), X, TikTok, YouTube or LinkedIn. One API for several networks is a developer service that wraps the networks' APIs and sells a single integration. A management app is a paid tool with screens for scheduling, analytics and an inbox; the page records whether it also offers an API, webhooks or automation connectors for your own code. Buffer and Metricool are both an app and an API, so each is listed once and its Route type row says so.
Where do the prices and terms come from?
Each option's own pricing, plan, developer-documentation, help-centre and terms pages, in US dollars, read on 2026-11-05. What a network's pages say about its own API, tiers, review steps and limits is given as the page says it. What a service says about itself, such as "no app review needed", is a provider claim and is attributed to it. Each price says the plan, the billing term and the unit it covers, and where a page shows a promotion the regular price is given. Several pages are built with scripts or refuse plain requests, so they were read in a browser, and billing switches were changed only to read other displayed prices. Networks change their terms often: this page states what the pages said on the date read and says where they are silent. It compares published terms, is not advice, and does not say how to meet, avoid or work around any network's rules, review steps or limits.
What does "No paid tier is listed" mean?
The pages read show no price for that route. It does not mean that none exists or that a price will not be added; several network pages say they may charge in future.
