Questions
How were these business phone systems chosen?
Each sells a cloud business phone (VoIP) service to US small businesses as a subscription, shows plan prices on its own US site and was on sale on the check date. The starting list was RingCentral, Nextiva, Dialpad, OpenPhone, Grasshopper, Zoom Phone, 8x8, Ooma Office and Vonage Business, and searches added GoTo Connect, Phone.com and Telzio. OpenPhone's own site now uses the name Quo and says Quo was formerly OpenPhone, so it is listed as Quo. Ten met the rule, which is the most this page holds, so the page was limited to the twelve providers in that list (the nine named first and the three added by searches). Not listed: 8x8, whose pricing page lists its products with request-a-quote buttons and shows no plan prices (its pricing address first returned a block page to a plain request and was then read in a browser), and GoTo Connect, whose plan page says to contact sales and shows no prices. Other services that publish prices, such as Google Voice, Net2Phone, Aircall, OnSIP and Talkroute, were not on the starting list and were not researched, so this page does not cover every phone service. Contact-center products and plans with no published price were not counted. This says nothing about the quality of any service left out. The page lists the ten in alphabetical order and does not rank them.
Where do the prices come from?
Each provider's own pricing page, plan comparison, help centre, texting and porting pages and terms, in US dollars on its US site, read on 2026-11-02. Each price says the plan, the billing term and any promotion, with the regular price beside it where the page shows one: Vonage's 30% annual-contract promotion (the page says it runs through December 31, 2026) and Grasshopper's checkout discounts are named as promotions. Prices exclude taxes and fees, which several providers' terms list separately. Several pages build prices with scripts or refuse plain requests, so they were read in a browser, and billing switches and user-count boxes were changed only to read other displayed prices. Prices, offers and texting rules change often, so check the provider before you buy.
What does "Not publicly stated" mean?
The provider's pages did not say. It does not mean the answer is no.
