Privacy policy

Last updated

All Things Compared is built to need as little from you as possible. This page explains what is collected when you use allthingscompared.com and when you email us.

In short

What we collect

When you browse

We do not ask for, or store, any personal information when you read the site. The comparison tray keeps your choices in the page address after the #, so you can bookmark or share a view. Browsers do not send that part of an address to the server.

When you email us

If you write to contact@allthingscompared.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it to reply, and to check and make corrections to the site. Messages sent to that address are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a private inbox that we read. We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your message and to keep a record of changes we made.

Hosting

The site is delivered by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, to deliver pages and protect against attacks and abuse, and it may keep logs under its own policy. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use that data to identify visitors.

Links to other sites

Comparison pages link to the provider sites they describe, and to the pages we used as sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Your choices

You can email us to ask what correspondence we hold from you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We will act on a reasonable request unless we are required to keep the information.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If what we do changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Older versions are not kept on the site.
